Who the SecuX W10C-PLUS hardware wallet suits and what it works with
The W10C-PLUS is a wallet for use at a computer. SecuX lists Mac OS 10.13.6+, Windows 10, Linux and Chrome OS, with Chrome V.71+ or Opera V.57+ installed. Like the W10, it has no battery and no wireless connection, so it must be connected to a computer or a power source while you use it.
It suits anyone who wants the wallet and a metal backup of the recovery phrase in one box. Compared with the standard W10 it has a USB-C port in place of USB Micro-B, and it adds the aluminium plates and the engraver.
How does the SecuX W10C-PLUS hardware wallet differ from the W10?
The W10C-PLUS has a USB-C port where the W10 has USB Micro-B, and SecuX packs it with aluminium plates and an engraver. SecuX publishes the same size, weight, Secure Element chip and computer compatibility for both.
How do the aluminium plates work?
You write down your recovery phrase in the correct order and then engrave it on the aluminium plate with the engraver in the box. SecuX says that, unlike words written on paper, the engraved letters would not get damaged or washed away.
Does the SecuX W10C-PLUS hardware wallet have a battery or Bluetooth?
No. SecuX states that the wallet does not come equipped with a battery and must be connected to a power source or a computer for operation. Its specification shows no wireless connection.
