Owl Labs Expansion Mic
The Owl Labs Expansion Mic is an add-on microphone accessory for the Meeting Owl family of 360° video conferencing cameras. It is not a camera or a standalone device — it plugs into your existing Meeting Owl, and the Meeting Owl Expansion Mic extends total audio pickup by 2.5 m in the direction of the mic, taking total coverage from 5.5 m up to 8 m. That extra reach is aimed squarely at larger boardrooms and longer conference tables where remote participants would otherwise struggle to hear people seated at the far end.
Setup is deliberately simple. The Expansion Mic connects to the host Meeting Owl through a single 2.5 m custom cable that carries both audio and power — there is no wall adapter to find and no extra network run to configure. Its compact 8.7 cm × 8.7 cm footprint sits neatly mid-table, and a built-in mute button syncs with the Owl so anyone at the table can mute the room without reaching for a laptop. Inside is a single cardioid microphone with voice equalisation, echo cancellation and background-noise reduction to keep speech clear.
The Meeting Owl Expansion Mic is compatible with the Meeting Owl 3, Meeting Owl 4+ and Meeting Owl 5 Pro (it does not work with the original Meeting Owl or Meeting Owl Pro). It ships with the mic unit, its custom cable, a mounting bracket, mounting hardware and documentation, and carries Owl Labs’ 2-year manufacturer warranty. It is available in Gray (EXM100-1000) and Charcoal (EXM100-1100).
