The Tenda F3 is an affordable single-band wireless router built around N300 Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n on 2.4GHz), delivering speeds of up to 300Mbps. Three fixed 5dBi external antennas push coverage to around 2,000 sq.ft, making it a solid choice for small to medium homes or apartments.

Beyond standard router duties, the F3 is also a flexible network tool: it can be switched into Universal Repeater mode to extend an existing Wi-Fi signal into dead zones, set up in WISP mode to bridge a wireless ISP hotspot, or run in AP mode to add Wi-Fi to a network that only has a wired gateway. This multi-mode flexibility is genuinely built into the firmware, which makes the F3 a low-cost way to either start a small wireless network or patch weak signal areas in a larger one.
