The Kandao Meeting Pro 2 is the next-generation 360° conference camera built for South African organisations that are tired of three boxes, four cables and a laptop balanced on the boardroom table. It captures everyone in the room with a 360-degree lens, picks the active speaker out of the noise with an AI-trained eight-microphone beamforming array, and runs Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex natively from its own Android system. One device. One cable. Every face. Every voice.

What the Kandao Meeting Pro 2 does

A single Kandao Meeting Pro 2 sits in the centre of a meeting-room table — typically rooms seating six to fourteen people — and replaces the camera, microphone array, speaker, conference codec and meeting-room PC that older setups required. The 360° lens captures the entire room in one frame; AI auto-framing then crops out the person speaking and presents them to remote attendees in a clean, broadcast-style layout. As the conversation moves around the table, the framing follows it without an operator.

The companion eight-microphone array handles the audio. Voices are isolated from background noise using on-device beamforming, which means a speaker at the far end of a six-metre boardroom comes through clearly to a remote attendee in Cape Town or Durban while the air-conditioning, keyboard taps and corridor noise are filtered out. Echo cancellation and de-reverb run in real time.

Daisy-chain — link two devices for bigger rooms

Placed about 1.5–4.5 m apart, a pair suits medium-sized meeting rooms for 12–18 people; for larger setups, the Meeting Pro 2 also supports audio daisy chaining with Kandao Meeting Pro and Meeting S devices.

Schedule the meeting in Outlook or Google Calendar, walk into the room, hit join on the included remote and you’re live. There is no laptop in the room, no HDMI cable to find, no Bluetooth pairing dance. For organisations standardising on Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, the Kandao Meeting Pro 2 is a certified, full-room device — not a webcam pretending to be one.

For setups that still prefer a laptop-led approach, USB-C plug-and-play makes the Kandao Meeting Pro 2 behave as a UVC camera and microphone with any conferencing app — no drivers, no installer.

Controls and UX

Day-to-day operation runs from the included wireless remote and the Kandao companion app on a smartphone or tablet. One-tap meeting join, mute, view switching, layout selection, raise-hand and call-end — all without standing up to walk to the device. Multiple framing modes — full panoramic, single-speaker focus, side-by-side speakers, presenter mode — switch with a button press.

Connectivity

Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit Ethernet keep the call stable in environments with congested networks or fibre links shared with other office traffic. HDMI output drives the boardroom display directly (no second box required). USB-C handles laptop fallback. Bluetooth pairs accessory peripherals when needed. Calendar systems, room-booking tools and corporate single sign-on are supported.
