MikroTik cAP LTE12 ax – WiFi 6 LTE Ceiling AP

The MikroTik cAP LTE12 ax is a powerful ceiling-mounted access point with built-in Cat12 LTE connectivity, designed for businesses that need fast wireless access and mobile internet in a clean, discreet form factor. It is ideal for pop-up shops, food stands, cafés, temporary offices, events and other locations where traditional fixed-line internet may not be practical.

Combining dual-band Wi-Fi 6, a Cat12 LTE modem, RouterOS v7 and a quad-core ARM64 platform, the cAP LTE12 ax is much more than a standard access point. It can provide local Wi-Fi coverage while also using LTE as the main internet connection or as a backup link, making it a flexible solution for mobile, temporary or high-availability installations.

The device supports LTE Category 12 with up to 600Mbps downlink and 150Mbps uplink, with LTE 4×4 MIMO downlink support for improved mobile performance where the network supports it. On the wireless side, Wi-Fi 6 provides improved efficiency, security and performance compared to previous Wi-Fi generations, with dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz operation for modern client devices.

For installation flexibility, the cAP LTE12 ax supports 802.3af/at PoE input and includes PoE-out on Ether2, allowing it to power another compatible device such as a switch, camera or access point. It also supports MikroTik’s centralised CAPsMAN management, making it suitable for larger deployments with multiple access points.
