The S530-24ST4XE is an enhanced Layer 3 core/aggregation switch from Huawei's eKitEngine S530 series, built for fibre-based access networks. It provides 24 Gigabit SFP ports (8 of which are dual-purpose copper/SFP combo ports) plus 4x 10GE SFP+ uplinks and 2x 12GE dedicated iStack stacking ports, making it well suited to FTTO (Fibre-To-The-Office) deployments, campus aggregation and metro-access scenarios. It supports a broad Layer 3 protocol set (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, VRRP), rich multicast (PIM-SM/DM/SSM, IGMP snooping) for video backhaul, and dual redundant hot-swap 1+1 power supplies for high availability.
