The BleeqUp Photochromic Lens is the “one lens, all conditions” upgrade for your BleeqUp Ranger AI Sports Camera Glasses. The lens reacts to UV — goes clear in low light or shaded forest, darkens to a sunglass tint in bright sun, all on the same lens. No mid-ride swap, no fumbling with a second pair.

Why photochromic on a sports lens?

Anyone riding or running through changing light. Tree-line trails, urban tunnels, dawn or dusk training, race days that start before sunrise and end after sundown. Photochromic removes the “wrong lens” problem that forces you to pick between sun-bright and overcast before you leave the house.

FAQ

Does it work with the Ranger Zeiss too?
Yes — the same clip-in lens system on both Ranger and Ranger Zeiss frames.

How fast does it darken?
It darkens within seconds of direct sun exposure and clears again once you move back into low UV. BleeqUp publishes a transmission range (43–80% clear, 18–43% activated) rather than a timed figure.

Does it work through cloud?
Yes — it reacts to UV, not visible light. So even on a hazy day with high UV, it darkens appropriately. Pure shade with no UV will keep it clear.

Does it work through a car windscreen?
Modern windscreens block most UV, so photochromic lenses don’t darken much while driving. BleeqUp still rates it as ideal for sports, driving and outdoor activities.

Which tint should I pick — Light Gray or Red→Black?
Light Gray is the neutral, true-colour all-purpose choice — best for road, gravel, run, mixed conditions. Red→Black is a rose contrast tint — better at picking out trail texture, roots, rocks, light/shadow transitions on MTB and trail.
