MES stands for Micro Enclosed Sight — AKRA's fully sealed-emitter alternative to the open-emitter Micro 2.0, on the same compact RMSC footprint. The enclosed housing keeps dirt, rain and lint off the LED, and the window is wider than the Micro 2.0's for a clearer carry-ready sight picture.
